Survived Survival Island

Wednesday May 22nd 2013

With everyone having learnt how to build shelters to sleep under on Sunday, then how to build a fire and light it using a flint, how to find water and cook wild food on Tuesday they were all keen and ready for survival island.

Winds forecast to strengthen during Wednesday and Thursday, so we brought survival forward to make use of favourable conditions. Teams constructed great shelters in different areas of the island, ate well and sang around the camp fire before falling asleep.

After a boat trip back to the Adventure School, hot shower and hearty 'Survivors breakfast' the team rested before going to the beach. Warm sun allowing t-shirts for energetic beach games.

A birthday James B will probably remember for a while!
