The team on the beach this afternoon after a week of challenging adventure

Survivors return by boat for beach day
Thursday July 16th 2015
We picked the team up from the island at seven o’clock this morning after a clear and dry night. So clear and dry that a handful of the pupils simply slept out under the stars on the highest part of the island, with sweeping views out across the Atlantic and back towards Foinaven that we had climbed together earlier in the week.
We had a hearty cooked breakfast of sausages, beans and scrambled egg before heading to the golden sands of Oldshoremore.
Swimming, body boarding, touch rugby, beach cricket and a tug of war filled most of the day. It is great for the team to have a chance to relax and reflect after a demanding week and to have the chance to fully appreciate what they have achieved in the last six days.
Many thanks to Mr Smith and Mrs Platt for giving up a week of their hard earned holiday time so that the team could have the experience. The pupils have put a huge amount into the week, ‘stretching’ themselves in ways perhaps they didn’t previously know that they could. Well done team!
