Sea kayaking, sea fishing, and survival island for the QEH boys.

The Year 9 and Year 10 boys are heading home to Bristol this morning after a challenging and full-on week with us at Ardmore. The weather was on our side for two consecutive full days of sea kayaking, with the Year 10 boys out paddling on Wednesday and the Year 9 boys on Thursday.

On Wednesday, we caught our first mackerel of the season from the workboats and pulled up prawns, spineys and velvet crabs in the creels.

The boys were on the island on Thursday night with a characteristically strong and totally independent performance. They have been an absolute pleasure to work with for the last six days. Physically fit, keen to yomp big distances in the mountains and loving the landscapes that we have around us.
