Travel
Our instructors come to Inverness Airport to meet young people at the start of our summer camps. We then travel together from Inverness Airport to Ridgway Adventure by coach (2.5 hrs). The coach is scheduled to meet several selected flights from UK domestic airports and Amsterdam. The same instructor-accompanied coach transfer returns young people to the airport on the last day of the summer camp. The cost of coach transport to and from Inverness Airport is included in the summer camp price.
In all cases, please get in touch with Rebecca to let her know your travel plans to and from Inverness at the start and end of the summer camp before you book your travel.
Suggested flights are listed in the tables below for the different summer camps we run. Our recommended flight is from and to London Gatwick, with other routes available from Amsterdam and other domestic UK airports. Individual airlines have different minimum ages for unaccompanied travel. You can find links to the relevant airline’s policies here. Easyjet | British Airways | KLM
There may be a short wait at Inverness Airport for those arriving on the earliest suggested flight. In some cases, where flight times dictate, we may run two separate coaches.

Please arrive at Inverness airport arrivals to meet our instructors at 2 pm (10 minutes before the flight from London Gatwick arrives) for drop off on the first day of the summer camp. Pick-up on the final day will be at 1 pm from Inverness airport departures.
Please get in touch with Rebecca to discuss a suitable arrival time at Inverness train station. The airport is approximately 10 miles outside Inverness. We will either arrange for an instructor to collect your child or for the coach to stop at the train station. In addition to day trains, there is an overnight Caledonian Sleeper Service from London Euston to Inverness.
Most summer camp participants meet each other and our instructors in Inverness and travel together on the coach. They are already starting to get to know each other at this stage. If you prefer to bring your child to Ridgway Adventure, please get in touch with Rebecca to discuss a suitable arrival time and driving directions. There is no reduction in the course fee for not using the coach transfer from Inverness airport.
If your chosen method of travel to Inverness is considerably delayed, or if you arrive on a later flight or train, which we have not suggested, we may be able to help arrange a separate transfer to Ridgway Adventure. This will incur an additional cost and will be without an accompanying instructor.
