Our seasonal team joins us each year towards the end of April and this becomes not just their work but their home until the early autumn. They are joined occasionally by instructors from previous seasons who return to help us with our busier courses and summer camps.
Our instructors and cook work alongside Mark and Rebecca, welcoming, guiding and feeding young people and adults on our courses throughout the season
They share our love for wild places and understand and embrace our ethos and the history of the place. We chose our staff carefully so that our team have not just the technical qualifications required but the personal skills that are so important.
You’ll find our instructors are calm, softly spoken and supportive with a good sense of humour. Above all, they are positive role models for the young people that join us on courses and summer camps.
Two houseparents join our seasonal team for each summer camp. They look after the needs of the young-people when they are at the Adventure School along with the instructors, Rebecca and Mark.
Our houseparents work with young people in their day-to-day lives, often as school teachers or youth workers, and all have a prior connection with Ridgway Adventure.

The team of instructors, so ably led by Mark and Rebecca, are always superb.
