St Leonards team arrive for a swim in the loch
The Year 7 team from St Leonards are here. The coach arrived at the road end at 2pm and once the pupils had loaded bags into the back of the trailer they walked with their instructors the mile or so of track and footpath in to the Adventure School.
Some quick introductions and then, for the Red team, straight into the loch for a swim. A wooden raft floats in Loch A Chadh-Fi, about 100m from the shore. It is the perfect objective and a great platform for leaping from! Meanwhile the Blues were on land, pulling together the contents of their day packs that will ensure they can be self-reliant this week.

The teams swapped over later, with the Blues heading into the sea for a swim. A hearty supper followed and this evening the two teams have walked with their instructors, Matt and Rich, to a high point above the Adventure School which offers a 360 degree view of this wild landscape. A first glimpse of Ardmore across the loch and of course to Arkle (our mountain quarry later in the week) and survival island.
Up at 7am tomorrow for a run or a swim before a day of sea kayaking, shelter building and then off to wild camp at the foot of Arkle, ready for Mondays mountain day.
