Rock climbing and expedition preparation
The team arrived with us early yesterday evening and we sat down together for supper before unpacking.
We then walked together to a high point above the Adventure School, a spot from where the boys could get a 360 degree view of this wild and rugged landscape. It was pretty eerie with low cloud masking the mountains away to the east.
Up at 7am this morning for a swim in the sea loch before breakfast. After breakfast we rock climbed and abseiled on the crags above the Adventure School. As the morning went on the high level cloud began to break up and the sun came out.

This afternoon the boys are preparing for the mountain expedition, looking at the group kit and packing their personal kit and rations before supper.
After supper we’ll head off into the hills. A few hours this evening along a stalkers path will gain us some time and some height on Foinaven, our mountain objective, and make the main day a little easier.
The forecast is set fair for the next few days so we should have some stunning views.
More news to follow, but we won’t be back from the mountain until lunchtime on Tuesday.
