Sunshine, sea kayaking and survival skills
Beautiful and busy day at Ardmore
There was a stunning moon last night casting a shaft of light along Loch A Chadh-Fi and the moon was still visible this morning as the Red team took to the water for a morning swim. You can just make out the moon left of centre at the top of the pic above.
The run or swim before breakfast is a tradition here, to get the blood flowing and sleep out of the eyes before the teams sit down to eat. It was the Reds turn this morning and it will be the Blues tomorrow.

After breakfast the Blues went sea kayaking out on Loch A Chadh-Fi, paddling along the loch, exploring its little coves and bays, flinging some seaweed, capsizing and climbing around on the barrels of the mussel lines that sit beneath the wood at Ardmore.
In the meantime, the Reds were learning the fire, food and shelter elements of the survival skills that they need before heading to the island later in the week.
After lunch the Reds and Blues swapped around for the afternoon.
Its been a beautiful blue sky day today with a nice breeze for the activities, but calmer and a bit midgey in the early mornings and evenings.
The team are all well and on good form.
