Heath Mount arrive in time for a dip in the pool
The Year 8 team arrived with us shortly after midday today after the early flight from Luton. More pleasant temperatures today with some cloud in the sky but still dry. The pupils took the short walk across the hills and along the shore to the Adventure School for a lunch of homemade soup and bread, salad and freshly baked biscuits.
This afternoon has been a process of unpacking, kit checking and hiring, tent pitching and swimming in the balmy waters of Loch A Chadh-Fi.

We will be sea kayaking tomorrow with two of the three teams on the water in the morning and the third in the afternoon. We’ll also be looking at the fire, food and shelter building skills that they’ll need on survival island later on in the week.
After supper tomorrow night we head out to a remote stone stables at the foot of Arkle, the mountain that we aim to climb on Monday.
The team are all in fine fettle and raring to go. More news on Monday when we return from the mountain.
