Blustery arrival

The bright and cheery team arrived safely, mid-afternoon in a stiff but dry breeze. After finding their rooms and unpacking quickly, they walked to the top of a nearby hill to look down upon the sea loch where some of them will be kayaking tomorrow, across to the crag where others will be rock climbing and ‘survival island’ which they will visit later in the week.

Good appetites at supper, with many managing seconds of macaroni cheese. Ooos and aaahs at the mention of homemade vanilla cake for pudding!

Kit has been checked and hire items issued, so all are set for a full day of activities tomorrow, when the wind is due to drop and no rain forecast.

We will add further news pages with pictures in a couple of days, but all are well and appear to be one of the most excited Hornsby House teams we have welcomed here!
