Team Newton Prep

Sea loch swimming greets the Newton Prep team

With only an hour and a half on a plane and a little over two hours on a coach, the team from Newton Prep have been transported from one of the busiest parts of the UK, to one of the remotest and most untouched.

The only possible start to their adventure was a swim in the sea loch; a ‘balmy’ 10 degrees centigrade and surrounded by mountains! The teams all made it out to the raft in the middle of the loch. A great way to shake off the journey and work up an appetite.

The ‘Blueberries’ Team test out the swimming pool

After supper the team climbed to the top of Cnocc Corr, a rocky summit above the Adventure School to get a good view of the beautiful wilderness that they’ll explore over the next week.

We’ll be sea kayaking and dropping lobster creels tomorrow before heading out for the first of two nights under canvas. Wild camping at the bothy and then our sights turn to Arkle, the teams mountain day!
