Team Cults Academy

Cults arrive in the far north-west

The Cults Academy team arrived with us here at Ardmore this afternoon. It felt truly wild up high on the introductory walk with blue skies and a blustery wind. These Aberdonians are made of sturdy stuff and a bit of wind was nothing to deter the excitement of the start of the week. The spindrift that gives Loch A Chadh-Fi its name was clearly visible, as were all the places that we will explore over the coming days.

Blue team members prepare their lobster creels

After dinner we went through the kit that the team will need for their week here and prepared the lobster creels ready to be laid down in the sea loch. Luminous fish heads were the bait of choice for this week.

The next two days look windy across much of the UK, with the rest of the week looking calm and sunny. Tomorrow we will be looking at survival shelters, finding and cooking wild foods and some initiative tests to hone our team and communications skills, all of which will be essential on survival island at the end of the week.
