6 Day Summer Camp team arrive at Ardmore
It was a grey day yesterday for the arrival of the six day summer camp team, the first of two six day camps this August. Despite the grey it was warm enough for a swim in the sea loch on arrival, a good way to tee up the adventures that are to come.

We spent some time ensuring that the young peoples kit was all up to scratch and looked at the tents that the team will use for the first time tonight. After supper the team headed up to a high point above the Adventure School, with views out across the Atlantic, down to Ardmore and across to the cloud capped mountains that they will explore on Monday.
Today the teams are out rock climbing and abseiling on the rocky outcrop high above the Adventure School, and learning how to make and cook on an open fire. Freshly caught mackerel and a campfire bread (damper) are on the menu. Essential skills for their night together on survival island at the end of the week.
Tomorrow looks to be a great weather day for their ascent of Arkle from tonights wild base camp.
