Team Expedition Summer Camp

All the summer camp have arrived safely at the adventure school

It is just after 8 p.m., and all thirty-six young people are now with us, including two who were delayed on their flight from Paris this morning. The first arrivals were with us just after 3 p.m. and swam in the sea loch on arrival. The second coach arrived just after 6 p.m. in time to join the others for dinner.

Walking the final mile from the coach to the adventure school.

The young people are now on a hilltop above the adventure school with their instructors, getting a 360-degree view of all the places we will explore together over the next two weeks.

Tomorrow, our day will start at 7:30 a.m. with a run or a swim before breakfast, and then our focus will be on expedition packing in the morning. With strong winds forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, we will stay out of the mountains for the next few days and head instead on foot to Sandwood Bay tomorrow afternoon and then on towards Cape Wrath. The mountains will have to wait until later in the camp.

Mark will add a few more photos to the journal once the first expedition is underway, and then we will post an update every two or three days. In the meantime, everyone is well and settling in.
