Arkle summits and first independent steps

Here is a quick catch-up of photos from our ascent of Arkle on Monday and Tuesday’s first independent steps out on ‘Search to Survive’, our wilderness orienteering course. The girls and boys are doing brilliantly. The weather is distinctly autumnal now, with bright sunshine between squally showers and a cool north-westerly wind.

There are plenty of swimmers braving the water before breakfast each day, and there is lots of excitement and anticipation for the island, which we will likely delay until Thursday night to give them the best conditions possible.
