Team Dumpton

From the southwest to the far northwest

The Dumpton team arrived at the road end at three o’clock this afternoon. With bags packed into our trailer and pickup truck, the pupils set off on foot for the mile-long walk from the road end to the adventure school.

With sunshine, blue skies and the sea at its warmest, it was only right that we should drop bags in rooms and go for a swim. The Red teams swam first while the Blues climbed to a high point above the adventure school. The high point gives magnificent views across to the Atlantic to the west and inland towards the mountains of Foinaven, Arkle and Ben Stack to the east.

Ready to swim

We have a busy week ahead which starts with a seven o’clock run tomorrow before breakfast. Teams will be sea kayaking and looking at the fire and food part of survival skills tomorrow. We will post more photos and news here in the journal every few days.

In the meantime, the boys and girls are all well and looking forward to the adventure ahead.
