Here goes Hornsby House

Arrival days don’t get much more beautiful here. Warm in the sunshine but cool in the shade, with stunning views in every direction. We met the coach at the road-end at about 4 pm and walked the final mile together.

After a quick tour, the Reds and Greens went for a swim while the Blues went through their kit, checking and adding to the ‘day packs’ that will keep them self-reliant in all weathers and at all altitudes. The Blues grabbed a swim after the Reds and Greens and before supper.

The sun is dipping in the sky now (8 pm), and the girls and boys are on the hillside high above the adventure school, getting their bearings with their team instructors.

We have a busy week planned with this first cohort of Hornsby House Year 6, and we will see all kinds of weather. The boys and girls are cheery, full of energy and settling in well. We will post here every couple of days, and between your fab teachers and us, we are taking loads of photos.
