Hornsby House arrive in the far northwest

Bright and bubbly team settle in at the Adventure School

The Hornsby House Year 6’s arrived with us shortly after 3pm. After loading the bags into the 4×4 and trailer the six teams (three red teams and three blue teams) set off with their instructors along the footpath to the Adventure School.

Quickly to rooms, a little unpacking and donning of walking boots and jackets, and the teams were off out again to a high point above the Adventure School. From this vantage point the pupils had a 360 degree view of all the places that we will explore together over the week, and a first glimpse of Ben Stack and ‘survival island’.

Supper this evening was macaroni cheese and salads, with chocolate cake for pudding. After supper the teams worked with their instructors to pull together their day packs, which they will take with them on all the adventures this week.

Up at 7am tomorrow for running and swimming and a full day in the mountains and on the sea for all.
