Loch A Chadh-Fi like a mirror for sea kayaking and survival skills
Cults team enjoy perfect weather in the far north-west
The Cults team from Aberdeen arrived with us yesterday afternoon. The cold north winds that we had with our team all last week have been replaced by calm seas and clear skies. A welcome return to summer! The teams were out sea kayaking today, making the most of the fine weather to undertake a small journey around A Chadh-Fi island to the bay at Ardmore, learning new skills, and getting a closer view of the nesting gulls and oystercatchers.

Swapping at lunch, other teams were looking at survival skills, lighting fires with striking flints, cooking bread on a stick (‘damper’) and foraging for wild foods on the seashore. Mussels and winkles as fresh as you could possibly get.
The team will be camping out tonight in a beautiful spot at the foot of tomorrow’s mountain objective. All the team are well and in good spirits out here on the west!
