Michael Hall have arrived!
Rock climbing and sea kayaking today
The Class 8 team from Michael Hall School arrived yesterday, just in time for lunch, after a smooth journey on the Caledonian Night Sleeper train from London Euston. After lunch we set to with kit checks, tent pitching, stove use other skills ready for the mountain expedition. A swim before supper is obligatory and everyone was in, and after a few initial yelps, swam out to the raft in the middle of the sea loch.

Macaroni cheese and a choice of salads followed, with chocolate cake for pudding, before a short walk to a high point above the Adventure School, from where the pupils can see all the places that they will explore this week.
Today the ‘Blue’ team have been rock climbing and abseiling, whilst the ‘Reds’ took to the water in sea kayaks, to explore the sheltered coves and bays of Loch Laxford, and picnicking out on a little rocky beach.
After supper tonight we will make a start on our mountain expedition by walking a few hours in, gaining a few hundred metres in height and making camp on the side of the mountain before crossing it tomorrow. Everyone is on good form after a full day.
More news after our return from the mountain on Monday evening.
