Mountain expeditions return from Arkle and Foinaven

Our four teams returned from their mountain expeditions yesterday (Thursday) after successfully summiting Arkle and Foinaven. The Red team, with Matt, traversed Foinaven and walked back to the adventure school. The Blues, Greens and Yellows respectively crossed Arkle with their instructors from wild camps in different places around the mountain.

It is designed to be challenging but within the physical capabilities of all. The challenge and a little shared adversity build strong bonds and faster friendships amongst the team. For the rest of the summer camp, Foinaven and Arkle (which form our eastern skyline) are a tangible reminder of what the young people are really capable of. They should be really proud of what they have achieved over those three days.

The Green and Yellow teams set off on an overnight sea kayak camping trip today while the Red and Blue teams rock climb and abseil and head to survival island.
