Reds summit Ben Stack

Blues creel, sea kayak and learn survival skills

The Red Inks were first to leave Lone for the mountain this morning and set a blazing pace with their instructor Craig and Miss Evans. The Red Faces and Red or Dead were not far behind and the usual ‘summit to school’ radio call came just before midday to tell us that teams were arriving on the top. A great effort, perfect weather and beautiful views.

Meanwhile, the Blues were back at the Adventure School, some heading out in boats to check their creel catch and see the Atlantic rowing boat while others went sea kayaking or learned survival skills and swapping around at lunchtime.

Everything is building nicely towards survival island tomorrow night and the instructors are thrilled with how the kids have applied themselves to every task and every adventure.

The beautiful weather is set to continue, albeit with a bit of cloud to break the blue sky, and the kids are doing really well.
