Rock climbing and ‘Search to Survive’

Teams head to the mountains tomorrow

We woke this morning at 7am for run or a swim. Our later arrivals yesterday all went swimming while the course members who swam yesterday went for a jog. The aim is just to get everyone awake before breakfast.

This morning the two Red teams went rock climbing and abseiling on the rocky outcrops above the Adventure School while the Blues undertook ‘Search to Survive’, an orienteering course on the wild and rugged Ardbeg peninsula. The Red teams and Blue teams swapped around in the early afternoon and we were all back down at the Adventure School for supper at 6.30pm.

The weather pattern is quite mixed at the moment but we plan to head for the mountains tomorrow after a morning of expedition preparation.

More news when we return.
