Team Hornsby House

Sea kayaks, lobsters, climbing and more!

A busy day here on the sea, the shore and on the rocky outcrops above the Adventure School. A series of half-day adventures for all of the six teams. Two teams have been sea kayaking, four teams have competed in the rock climbing, two have pulled lobster creels up from the seabed (a mighty haul for the Blue Mountains!) and four have started part of their survival training in preparation for the island at the end of the week.

The ‘Red Buses’ with Mr Gerry and Miss Chubb sea kayaking this morning

A much drier day with spells of sunshine, packed lunches outside on the grass and great views towards the mountains that will see Hornsby House ascents over the next two day.

The Red teams left for the wild camp at the foot of the mountain this evening and will climb Ben Stack tomorrow. The Blues are in at the Adventure School tonight, for another day of adventures and training tomorrow and a wild camp tomorrow night, with Ben Stack the objective for Tuesday.
