Survival island and a beautiful beach day end our first week with Hornsby House

The Year 6s are on their way home this morning after a week of great endeavours in the mountains and on the sea. It has been an absolute pleasure to share the places we love with such an enthusiastic and bubbly bunch, and we have also had some stunning weather.

The teams did well on the island on Wednesday night, and we spent Thursday on the golden sands of Oldshoremore. The beach day is a chance to relax and reflect at the end of a busy week and to absorb all that they have achieved, in a UK landscape so far removed from the familiar surroundings of home.

It is a quick turnaround for us here, and we look forward to the second half of the Hornsby House Year 6, who arrive tomorrow afternoon.
