The team arrive in time for a swim in the sea loch
The team arrived at our wooden mailboxes shortly after 12.30pm today. We walked together along the track to the Adventure School for a swim in the sea loch before sitting down for some homemade soup and crusty bread, and a slice of banana cake.
There was a bit of ‘kit faff’ to do with the instructors, checking walking boots and waterproofs and then we took to the boats for some fishing. With a rising tide and the mackerel about hopes were high that we would bag some fish for tomorrow’s survival skills training. We didn’t have to wait long before the boys started hauling the mackerel in.

After supper of spag bol, salad and hot chocolate cake we walked to a high point above the Adventure School to get a view of all the places that we’ll explore this week. We were being chased by the darkness and it was a head torch moment heading back down.
The team are well and are in good form. Tomorrow looks like sea kayaking, survival skills training and then heading out to wild camp at the foot of Arkle, ready for our ascent on Monday.
More news here when we return on Monday evening.
