Team Queen's College Taunton

Year 6 arrives safely at the adventure school

The boys and girls arrived safe and well with Mr Burlingham and his team just after 6.30 pm. The final mile is tackled on foot as the road is too small for coaches. We loaded hold luggage into our pickup truck and trailer and the girls and boys set off in their teams with their team instructors Kerry, Evan and Toby.

Walking the last mile to the adventure school

We had supper almost as soon as we arrived at the adventure school and now the three teams are on a hilltop high above the adventure school where they can get a 360-degree view of all the places that we’ll explore together during the week.

We’ll be out for a quick jog before breakfast tomorrow morning, and sea kayaking looks to be on the agenda with calm weather forecasted. We (Rebecca or Mark) will post updates here every couple of days, often in the evening after spending the day with the children.

In the meantime, everyone is well, and spirits are high. The weather seems quite settled with pleasant daytime temperatures in the late teens and early twenties when the sun is out.
