York House leavers arrive at Ardmore
York House School arrived with us at lunchtime today after an easy journey up to Inverness on the Caledonian Night Sleeper train from London Euston and a short coach transfer via the west coast town of Ullapool. Straight into the Adventure School for homemade soup, bread and biscuits. After lunch, the boys were given a quick tour so that they know where everything is and how it works before we set too on kit checks, tent pitching and a swim.

We have had bursts of sunshine and showers in equal measures today, kitting up for the swim in sunshine, and swimming in the rain. All very atmospheric!
After supper we took the boys up to a high point above the Adventure School so that they could see many of the places that we will explore together this week.
Sea kayaking and survival skills are on the cards for tomorrow, and we plan to head out to a wild camping spot tomorrow night at the foot of Arkle, the mountain that we’ll climb on Monday. The boys are all well and in good spirits, excited about the week of adventure to come.
More news when we get back on Monday.
