Hornsby teams return from survival island

The Reds, Blues and Greens returned from the island before breakfast this morning after a successful night. The squally weather earlier in the day had eased before they left in the boats and they had a clear, breezy and mostly dry night with some welcome sunshine.

Not everything works first time on the island, but that is part of the process. Fires took a little perseverance but were lit in the end. The teams took differing approaches to cooking their simple supplies and foraged food, some with more success than others. Many positive stories emerged over a cooked breakfast at the adventure school this morning.

We are heading to the beach today. A chance to relax, reflect and have fun together before heading home tomorrow. The girls and boys both this week and last week have been a real pleasure to be with. Another super year with Hornsby House Year 6.
