Heath Mount arrive in the far north-west
The Heath Mount leavers team have arrived!!
The coach drew up to the mail boxes at the end of the road just before 3pm this afternoon and we’ve been ‘busy busy’ ever since.
Once bedrooms had been located we went swimming in the sea loch. Most of the pupils swam out to the raft to ‘bomb’ and ‘salmon dive’ back into the sea. Others were content just to bob around in their wetsuits and take in the mountain views around them… quite a swimming pool!

We have checked kit and sorted out hire items so that all the pupils are well equipped for the week of adventures.
After supper we took a walk up to the hilltops above Ardmore and the Adventure School to get a better view of the landscape that the pupils have landed into, and will explore this week. Big open spaces and big open skies.
We plan to go sea kayaking tomorrow and to learn how to light and cook on an open fire, cooking and eating mussels, winkles and campfire breads.
We will be out camping tomorrow night before climbing the mountain (Arkle) on Monday and we’ll update the news page when we are back on Monday evening.
In the meantime the team are in great form, excited and full of spirit (and supper).
