Hornsby House sea kayaking, rock climbing and off to the mountain

We have had a busy few days at the adventure school with the first of two Hornsby House Year 6 groups. The weather has been great, with any rain confined to the late evenings and early mornings, leaving the daytime warm and sunny with a nice breeze.

It is now late Monday evening, and Mark is just back from helping the girls, boys, and their instructors at the wild camp in the mountains. Over the last two days, all the pupils have sea kayaked, rock climbed, and learned to build shelters and manage campfires to prepare for the island. Some have been swimming before breakfast, and others have been for a morning jog.

Don’t worry if you can’t see a picture of your son or daughter in the small selection posted here; it sometimes just depends on which group Mark has been with that day. Many photos are being taken, and hundreds will return to school with your teachers at the end of the week. Look out for another journal post late Wednesday or early Thursday.

Everyone is well. We expect some overnight rain at the wild camp, but the forecast looks good for climbing Ben Stack tomorrow (Tuesday).
